Laura Plummer set to stay in jail after release hopes dashed

Relatives of a British woman serving three years in jail in Egypt have vowed to fight on after her hopes of freedom were dashed.
Laura Plummer’s family anticipated she would released from her sentence, imposed for bringing painkillers into the country, following reports she would receive a presidential pardon.
But hopes appeared to have been dashed.
The Daily Mirror understands from the Egyptian authorities that there was never any official confirmation that she was on the pardon list released on Saturday.
