Labour slam SNP over positive spin on number of school leavers working zero-hour contracts
 

The number of school leavers ending up on controversial zero-hours contracts is not being measured, the Scottish Government has admitted.
Minister for Employability and Training Jamie Hepburn made the admission after it emerged teenagers are counted as having moved on to a “positive destination” in official data even when they aren’t being offered guaranteed paid hours.
In a letter to the Scottish Parliament’s education and skills committee, which was passed to the Sunday Mail, Hepburn blames “limitations” on “collating school leaver destination statistics”.
