Kettering school’s pride after good Ofsted grade



Staff at a Kettering primary school say they’re over the moon after being graded as ‘good’ in their first Ofsted inspection.
Hayfield Cross School, in Hayfield Crescent off Cranford Road, opened in 2015 and was built to serve the Kettering East development.
In its first inspection by the education watchdog Ofsted, inspectors found it to be good in all five areas judged.
Headteacher Craig Charteris said: “We are over over the moon and it’s the result of three years of work.
“We knew we were a good school but it’s really nice to get recognition and to show that we are doing things right.”
