June EU vote would be a mistake, says Sturgeon

SCOTLAND’S First Minister Nicola Sturgeon said yesterday that it would be “a mistake” for David Cameron to hold an EU referendum in June.
On the Andrew Marr Show Ms Sturgeon said a June referendum would be “disrespectful” to the Scottish Parliament elections as well as Welsh, Northern Irish and London mayoral elections in May.
Her comments follow speculation that the EU membership vote could be as early as June this year if the Prime Minister negotiates a deal at the European Council next month.
