Alan Pardew branded West Brom’s FA Cup win at Liverpool “bizarre” and warned delays from Video Assistant Referee referrals could jeopardise players’ safety.
In an action-packed first half at Anfield, West Brom scored three goals and had another ruled out for offside.
Albion also lost two players - Kieran Gibbs and Hal Robson-Kanu - to injury before the break.
And Pardew blamed those injuries on the long breaks in play that ensued while the VAR panel were consulted on several major incidents.
