We’ve all been on a flight when this dreaded announcement comes over the tannoy: “If there is a medical doctor on board this flight, please can you make yourself known to the cabin crew”.
Whilst all cabin crew are given comprehensive first aid training, doctors and medical professionals can be called upon at 30,000-feet to deal with anything from minor incidents, such as fainting and panic attacks, to more serious conditions, including strokes and heart attacks.
