Irishman, 80, who emigrated in 1954 gets huge response to emotional letter home
 

An 80-year-old Irishman living in London who wrote to his hometown paper asking if anyone remembered him has been inundated with responses.
Jim Logan could not believe the amount of replies that started to appear in the post after his letter went viral on the internet.
Jim wrote to his old hometown paper, the Clare Champion: ‘I am an 80 year old man from Lahinch, lying on my bed here in London on a very hot day.
‘I was wondering how everyone is doing back in Lahinch and is there anyone left who remembers me?’
