Inside Sandringham: where the royals spend Christmas



The Queen and her family traditionally spend Christmas at Sandringham House in Norfolk - but there are already rumours of a few absentees this year.
The royal celebrations are a structured affair at the monarch’s much-loved country retreat.
HistoryThe Sandringham Estate was purchased by Queen Victoria for £22,000 in 1863 and was intended as the home of her eldest son, Albert Edward, the future King Edward VII.
