I would have managed Manchester United, says Liverpool legend Graeme Souness
 

Graeme Souness has revealed he came close to replacing Sir Alex Ferguson as manager of Manchester United and admitted he would have taken the job.
The Liverpool legend would’ve become United boss in 1989 if Michael Knighton’s takeover had gone through.
At the time, Souness was managing Rangers and he eventually took over at Liverpool two years later.
The 63-year-old enjoyed an incredible playing career at Anfield, winning the old First Division five times, the League Cup four times and the European Cup on three separate occasions.
