Hull woman: 'I was conned out of £1,270 for new carpets which never arrived'

A Hull woman was left devastated after she paid £1,270 for carpets which never arrived.
Anne Livagg, 78, who lives with her disabled husband Bjornar Livagg, 58, was hoping to get new carpets for the downstairs and landing of their end-terrace property.
Mrs Livagg paid £1,600 for three sets of carpets for her west Hull home earlier this year - but after a series of excuses, the carpets never arrived. She then went to the Hull store to demand a refund - only to find the company had ceased trading.
She has since received £330 of her payment back - but she has still been left more than £1,000... read more
