Hero who rescued woman from tragic house fire tells of pain that he couldn’t save more lives



A heroic man has opened up about his role in helping the people affected by a tragic house fire near Boston.
A community was left in shock after flames engulfed a home in Pear Tree Road in Kirton on New Year’s Day, January 1.
Police later revealed that three people – two men, aged 24 and 32, and one woman, aged 27 – had tragically lost their lives in the blaze.
That figure could have been higher had it not been for the brave efforts of Michael Wood, who without any thought for his own safety helped rescue a woman from the burning property.
