Growth picks up in UK services sector
 

Growth in the UK's key services sector was faster than expected last month, but worries over Brexit remain, according to a closely watched survey.
The IHS Markit/CIPS purchasing managers' index (PMI) rose to a three-month high of 54.0 in May, up from 52.8 in April.
A figure above 50 indicates expansion.
The pick-up has raised hopes that growth will rebound from the sluggish first quarter of the year, raising the possibility of higher interest rates.
