Grandad dies after doctors 'failed to look at blood test' and sent him home

A Black Country hospital has admitted liability for the death of a man who died of pneumonia just 36 hours after being sent home from A&E.
Rob Walker, 61, was referred to Sandwell Hospital on November 28, 2017, after visiting his GP with breathing difficulties, a painful cough and was struggling to speak.
The beloved grandad  from Tipton was sent home by a ‘dismissive’ doctor who diagnosed a chest infection after failing to review his blood test results or read the GP’s referral letter.
