Good Samaritan mown down by burglars as he protected neighbours' home in Bedworth

A Good Samaritan was left with serious leg injuries after being mown down by burglars as he attempted to protect his neighbour's home in Bedworth.
The 54-year-old victim, who has not been identified, had challenged two thieves who had broken in his neighbour's house on Narrowboat Close in Hawkesbury .
It was as he stood up to the suspects that he was hit by what was initially described as a blue Vauxhall hatchback.
Police have now said that it was a hatchback Vauxhall Corsa with a 67 number plate.
