GirlGuiding insists allowing trans members won’t put girls at risk
 

Allowing transgender members doesn’t cause safeguarding issues, GirlGuiding has said, hitting back at ‘aggressive’ criticism.
They had been accused of putting members at risk by allowing trans girls and leaders to join.
The organisation said that ‘simply being transgender does not make someone more of a safeguarding risk than any other person’ after its inclusion of people who self-identify as female came under attack.
