Gift of Life: Bone marrow transplant recipient thanks Aylestone man who saved him
 

Their story started in 2008, when Eamonn Whelan donated bone marrow to a stranger hundreds of miles away in Germany.
Now, former leukaemia patient Heinz Glauche, the man whose life he saved, has made the journey to Leicester to stay with his benefactor.
Heinz, 66, who had not left Germany since he was a teenager due to a fear of flying, was determined to conquer his phobia to make the visit to Eamonn's home in Aylestone, Leicester.
