Fourth bridge over River Trent is one step closer
 

Plans for a fourth road bridge over the River Trent are a step closer, the Post can reveal.
Four local councils have set aside £60,000 for "advanced studies" looking at the impact of a crossing between Colwick Industrial Estate and Holme Pierrepont - and the effect it would have on traffic, the economy and environment.
It follows an initial feasibility study last year which said a bridge - which could cost anything between £11 million and £18 million - could happen. The idea has been in the pipeline for more than a decade.
