Flintshire taxi drivers to be trained up on grooming warning signs in wake of Rotherham child sex scandal

Taxi drivers in Flintshire will be trained to spot the warning signs that children might be being groomed or sexually exploited.
The council is to bring in mandatory training for licensed cab drivers, who will often come into contact with vulnerable young people.
The move comes in the wake of the findings of an inquiry into child sexual exploitation in Rotherham, which raised concerns about safeguarding issues around young people and taxis.
It found cabs were used to move children around the town and to other towns and cities for them to be abused.
