The first payouts have been made to some of the thousands of investors who won a total of £200 million from Royal Bank of Scotland last summer.
Around £25 million of the settlement – awarded to claimants misled into buying shares – was given out last week. Signature Litigation, administering the claim, has estimated that half the £200 million will be left for investors after costs.
