Fire on A55 in Anglesey after 4X4 bursts into flames
 

A 4X4 burst into flames on the A55 in Anglesey this morning.
Smoke could be seen billowing across the carriageway near Gaerwen , where the vehicle had parked up in a lay-by.
Flames could be seen emerging from the 4X4’s engine bay.
Three fire engines, two from Bangor and one from Llangefni , were sent to the scene after the fire service was called at 9.47am.

A North Wales Fire and Rescue Service spokeswoman said: “We sent three fire engines who used two breathing apparatus and a hose reel jet.
“The stop message for the incident came in at 10.14am.”
