Female BBC staff face 'veiled threats' for questioning unequal pay, MPs told
 

Women at the BBC have faced “veiled threats” for broaching the subject of equal pay, MPs have been told.
Members of the BBC Women group gave damning evidence to the Department of Culture, Media and Sport select committee, ahead of BBC director general Tony Hall being grilled tomorrow.
Their statement reads: “While individual BBC managers have been supportive, there is still a bunker mentality in some quarters and women have experienced veiled threats made against them when they raised the subject of equal pay.”
