Ex councillor who targeted Theresa May, Diane Abbott and Anna Soubry in 'vile' Facebook posts urged to pay back his councillor's allowance
 

A council leader has called on a disgraced former member of the authority who used social media to call for Theresa May to be hanged for “treason” to pay back his councillor’s allowances.
Independent councillor Richard Alderman, who was elected to represent Oakham South West on Rutland County Council after winning the seat by a single vote in July, resigned from the authority last month.
The 72-year-old was spared jail in October after admitting posting gross and offensive messages about Mrs May, shadow home secretary Diane Abbott and former Tory MP Anna Soubry.
