Gareth Southgate’s side were 5-0 up at half-time thanks to two Harry Kane penalties, as well as a brace from John Stones and a screamer from Manchester United star Jesse Lingard.
Kane completed his hat-trick in the second half before Felipe Baloy scored Panama's first ever World Cup goal to add a consolation.
It was the first time England have scored four goals or more in a World Cup game since their famous 4-2 victory over West Germany in the 1966 final and the first time they’ve scored five or more goals in one half in the competition.
