England coach Trevor Bayliss challenges next generation of Test batsman to step up: 'There are some young players on the cusp... this is a call-out to guys in county cricket'

Trevor Bayliss has told the next generation of Test batsmen to stand up and score the runs that would earn them the opportunity to try to solve England’s perennial problems at the top of the order.
The England coach admitted after their seventh Test of the winter became their seventh without a win that he was no nearer solving the batting problems that continue to undermine his team at the highest level.
And while Bayliss said it is ‘more than likely’ Mark Stoneman and James Vince have just done enough to keep their places in the problem opening and No 3 spots against Pakistan next month.... read more
