A MASSIVE Ebay con saw a Grimsby man scam buyers out of more than £40,000 before he fled to Bulgaria to start a new life - spending the cash on gold bars, speed boats and jet skis.
And when he was caught he actually swallowed bizarre items including a mobile phone battery to prevent his extradition to face the music back in the UK.
For three years Warren Palmer used his base in Lime Street, Grimsby, to sell Apple and HTC smartphones, which he did not have.
