Couple with combined age of 171 become ‘Britain’s oldest newlyweds’
 

A couple with a combined age of 171 are believed to have become Britain’s oldest newlyweds after they tied the knot in front of 20 guests yesterday. 
Joan Grant, 81, wed her beau Ted Wright, 90, after they both met working at WHSmith.
They tied the knot in a civil ceremony, with Frank Sinatra’s ‘Second Time Around’ playing in the background and Joan being given away by her son Michael.
The happy couple have planned a week-long ‘funnymoon’ in a hotel with 43 friends from their retirement group of ex-WHSmith workers.
