Council admits allowing travellers to stay on public land in Nuneaton

Council bosses have lifted the lid on why they have agreed to allow an illegal encampment of travellers to stay on a car park for more than a month.
Following concerns raised by the community about the lack of action against the travellers next to the boys club just off Avenue Road, Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council has admitted they are allowing them to stay there.
In a statement provided to Coventry Live, the Town Hall has explained that a complex welfare issue has led to the unprecedented decision being made to allow them to stay for up to 28 days.
