Coma teen's family make emotional plea to parents not to buy off-road bikes this Christmas



"They are not children’s toys."
That's the message about scrambler bikes from a family torn apart by a serious collision which left their teenage daughter fighting for her life in a coma.
And in the run-up to Christmas, Merseyside Police have now released CCTV footage of the crash in St Helens earlier this year in a bid to deter parents from buying off-road bikes as presents for youngsters.
At around 3.30pm on Friday, January 13, 15-year-old Jessica Chisnall was walking home from school when an off-road bike mounted the pavement and hit her.
