It will also not pay for free swimming or careers guidance. The cuts were announced this week following months of consultation.
Home-Start, a charity which provides support to families in difficulty, is among the groups now facing an uncertain future following the withdrawal of its annual £105,000 grant.
Manager Elaine Murphy said some of the charity's five full-time staff might have to go.
