Brutal child killer Craig Smith could have his 17 year minimum jail sentence increased after the Attorney General deemed it too soft.
Smith, 28, was convicted of murdering his two-year-old stepson Teddy Tilston after striking the defenceless toddler so hard to the stomach that the blow caused massive internal bleeding.
The former labourer and bar manager was jailed for life with a minimum term of 17 years by High Court judge Mr Justice Neil Garnham, after a trial at Liverpool Crown Court in November.
