Cheshire West residents urged to have flu jab as virus spreads

At risk residents across Cheshire West are being urged by the NHS to have the jab as flu cases rise.
Cheshire and Merseyside’s NHS medical director Dr Kieran Murphy is urging people who are in vulnerable groups to get themselves vaccinated as the number of people experiencing flu symptoms in the area continues to increase.
Dr Murphy warns that people with long-term conditions such as asthma, heart-disease and diabetes are particularly at risk of serious illness as the flu virus continues to spread.
