Cheltenham 2019 jockey given emotional guard of honour after major announcement

Fehily confirmed his intention to retire after partnering Eglantine Du Seuil at the Cheltenham Festival on Thursday.
Fehily, who has won the Champion Hurdle twice on Rock On Ruby and Buveur D'Air, as well as the Champion Chase on Special Tiara, has been struggling with illness this season.
Today, before the 2.50 Novices’ Hurdle, Fehily’s colleagues all lined up on the steps outside the changing area to which they welcomed him with a guard of honour.
His wife Tash then gave an emotional interview afterwards where she fought back tears while being interviewed by ITV.
