Chalk and cheese: The Clash and Bucks Fizz headlined Leicester concerts in 1982
An eclectic mix of music was on offer to fans of live gigs in Leicester in 1982.
This was the year that saw punk rock giants The Clash and Boomtown Rats take to the stage in the city, along with heavy metal legends Iron Maiden and pop group Bucks Fizz, fresh from their Eurovision Song Contest victory the previous year.
The Clash are pictured, top, on stage at De Montfort Hall in July of that year when they visited the city on their Combat Rock tour.
