Cardiff City failed to convert two stoppage-time penalties as they lost Friday's title tussle with Championship rivals Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Wolves moves nine points clear after midfielder Ruben Neves scored his fifth goal of the season with a free-kick on 67 minutes.
Goalkeeper John Ruddy, who kept his 20th clean sheet, then produced a fine diving save to repel a Gary Madine spot-kick, moments before referee Mike Dean awarded another late penalty, which Junior Hoilett struck against the woodwork.
