Captured ‘Beatles’ Isis executioners ‘should come back to UK for trial’
 

The last two members of the Isis execution group dubbed ‘The Beatles’ should be sent back to the UK for trial, a former counter-terrorism regulator has said.
Lord Carlile, who was the UK’s independent reviewer of terrorism legislation from 2001 to 2011, said a British trial was the ‘proper forum’ for justice, as the debate continues over the fate of Alexanda Kotey and El Shafee Elsheikh.
The British men were captured in Syria, having fallen into the hands of Kurdish militia fighters in January, and are under guard in the attempted caliphate’s former heartland.
