Bus access to be improved for wheelchair users



Ministers have pledged to improve bus access for wheelchair users, following a Supreme Court ruling.
Measures to ensure wheelchair users can travel in spaces set aside for them on buses will be introduced, the Department for Transport has said.
Wheelchair user Doug Paulley brought his case after he was refused entry to a FirstGroup bus in 2012, when a mother with a pushchair refused to move.
It means bus drivers will have to do more to accommodate wheelchair users.
