Boy of 16 locked up for killing friend Liam Ball in Walsall crash

A boy aged just 16 has been locked up for more than three years for killing his friend in an horrific crash .
The teenager - too young to have been legally driving - hit 70mph before he lost control of a Vollkswagen Golf and it smashed into a parked car.
Passenger Liam Ball, who was 17, was killed but the driver fled before he was found by police.
Two girls, aged 14, were also hurt - one suffered a broken arm and the other minor injuries.
Now the young driver, who cannot be named, has been jailed for a total of 38 months after admitting a charge of causing death by dangerous driving.
