Boozy drink-driver is spared from prison after he collided into an elderly man



A drunken valet has been spared from prison after he took a customer’s car to buy more booze, mounted a pavement, knocked down a 69-year-old man and crashed into a sign.
Derby Crown Court heard on Friday, July 13, how Constantin Marica, 31, of Catherine Street, Chesterfield, collided into the elderly man on Hawksley Avenue, Chesterfield, throwing him over the bonnet of the Vauxhall Insignia car.
