BMW driver jailed for causing head-on crash with 'suicidal' overtaking

A BMW driver has been jailed for leaving a motorist with life-changing injuries in a crash caused by his “suicidal” overtaking.
Rayan Owais ploughed head-on into Robert Ketchell’s Jaguar X-Type as he overtook two cars and a lorry after being diverted off the M6.
He was “distracted” by the change to his journey and wanted to see the signs ahead after his sat-nav told him to a do a U-turn, Warwick Crown Court heard.
The 39-year-old, of Albert Road, Aston , was jailed for two years after admitting causing serious injury by dangerous driving.
