Birmingham Royal Ballet star Elisha Willis on ditching dancing for stitching
 

One of Birmingham Royal Ballet’s principal dancers is retiring at the age of 36 – to make tutus.
Elisha Willis’s final show at Birmingham Hippodrome is as Kate in The Taming of the Shrew on Saturday.
It’ll be an emotional performance after 13 years as one of BRB’s stars and David Bintley’s first Cinderella.

But she won’t be leaving the world of dance altogether, as she plans on making costumes for the stage.
Elisha has already been on a course to learn how to make a tutu and will embark on a full-time costume programme.
