England have a dreadful record at Perth, where they have won once in 12 Tests - way back in 1978-79. But for Sportsmail's David Lloyd, the WACA means only thing: that blow in the box he took from Jeff Thomson in 1974-75...
I had the task of opening the batting for England. It's funny how the Australian attack in those days feels like the one today. Dennis Lillee was Ryan Harris, line and length with a bit of away movement. Max Walker was Peter Siddle, the workhorse. Ashley Mallett was Nathan Lyon. And, of course, Jeff Thomson was Mitchell Johnson.
