Bath University head refuses to step down over excessive pay

STAFF and students at Bath University expressed anger yesterday after its vice-chancellor refused to stand down in a row over excessive pay.
Dame Glynis Breakwell narrowly survived a vote of no confidence by 19 votes to 16 in a secret ballot of the university senate on Wednesday night.
Earlier in the day hundreds of university staff called for her to resign with immediate effect, threatening to join student protests next week if she failed to step down.
