Australia hurtling towards humiliating defeat against South Africa as tourists trail by 378 runs with just four first-innings wickets remaining



Australia's off-field despair and misery deepened on the field on Saturday as they hurtled towards a defeat as heavy and humiliating as anything in their history. 
Having been powerless to prevent South Africa's last four wickets add another 189 runs in a total of 488, they crashed to 110-6 by the close of the second day and left the field hoping a sinkhole would open up ahead of them.
