Aston Villa 2-0 Birmingham: Derby win moves Steve Bruce's side up to second

A magnificent seven league wins in a row for Villa, who shot down city rivals Birmingham with second-half strikes from Albert Adomah and Conor Hourihane. 
The priority for the hosts, under Steve Bruce, is a return to the Premier League. 
But that can wait for another day. This was a joyous afternoon for the home supporters, on which local bragging rights were emphatically grabbed – although it took some time to get there. 
There was even the added bonus of a red card, when Cheikh N’Doye picked up a second yellow in injury-time after an outbreak of handbags with John Terry.
