Asda event raises £440 for dog rescue charity

NOTTINGHAM charity One Paw at a Time Dog Rescue raised hundreds of pounds at an awareness day at the weekend.
The event, at Asda in West Bridgford, raised £440 for the charity which rescues dogs from Romania.
Among the activities at the event were bag-packing, a tombola and children's colouring, as well as information on adopting.
It follows the Post's report on Saturday about Traceyanne Smith from Arnold who adopted two puppies from Romania after hearing stories about "kill shelters" in Bucharest.
So far the charity has helped rescue 20 dogs from Bucharest.
