Arriva bus strike: Drivers voting again on latest pay offer

Arriva bus drivers are voting today on whether to accept a pay offer that could end the bitter pay dispute – but they look set to reject the deal.
Members of Unite and the GMB have already held several days of strike action in their battle for a pay rise.
Another ten days of action are scheduled, starting next Monday and including a FOUR-DAY strike leading up to Christmas Eve,
Arriva upped its offer to drivers last week by a penny an hour – a rise described as “insulting” by union leaders.
But Arriva insisted this was a “fair pay deal” and was its “final offer”.
