Anger from locals as controversial city centre bus hub plan is approved

Plans for a controversial Liverpool City Centre bus hub got the go ahead this morning,  the latest in a string of plans that could radically reshape the city centre.
But there was fury from nearby businesses who worry the plan could hurt them - and neighbours concerned they will be hit by noise from up to 120 buses an hour.
The council's plans for a new 'bus hub' on Old Haymarket , at the bottom of Old Hall Street, are part of much wider plans that will see the Strand, Lime Street and Brownlow Hill drastically changed.
