Amazon 'interested' in reopening Leicester to Burton railway to help workers at Coalville site
 

Amazon has said it is 'interested' in the plans to reopen to the railway between Leicester and Burton to passengers.
No passengers have travelled on the route since 1964, but that could change as meetings have already been held to discuss the possibility of reopening the line.
The online retailer said it could benefit staff at its Coalville site that is close to the railway.
A spokesman from Amazon told DerbyshireLive: "We're aware of the proposal and would obviously be interested in potential alternative commuting opportunities for our Coalville team."
