‘Acting kept me from a life of crime’ says Taboo star Stephen Graham
 

The Taboo and Pirates Of The Caribbean star was brought up in the area of Liverpool where Rhys was shot dead in a car park nearly 10 years ago, caught in the crossfire of warring teenage gangs.
Stephen said while some of his friends were heading down “a certain route”, they were kept on the straight and narrow by local youth centres.
He had a supportive family and a love of acting to ensure he didn’t go off the rails. 
In the drama, he takes on the part of crusading Detective Superintendent Dave Kelly, who was involved in the hunt for Rhys’s killer.
