A38 reopens after lorry fire closes road for 12 hours
 

A road which was closed for more than 12 hours following a lorry fire - causing serious delays - has now reopened.
The A38 near junction 28 of the M1 was closed in both directions between Alfreton and the motorway following the fire just before 10.20am yesterday, Thursday.
Although one lane later reopened, the fire was so severe that the road needed to be resurfaced, which continued to cause long delays in the surrounding area and on the M1 itself.
